The Upper North Zone Lutheran Women’s Fellowship Day was held on July 6, at St James Lutheran Church in Whyalla. The outside temperature may have been cold and wintery, but inside St James church the air was warm and cosy filled with the joy of friendships.

Breaking down barriers through breaking bread together was the goal for The Ark Lutheran Church in Salisbury, who recently partnered with Hope Arabic Church to reach the local Arabic-speaking community.

Golden Grove Lutheran Primary is celebrating a top-class effort, after being the first school in South Australia to receive a School Aid National Accreditation Award. The award recognises the range of philanthropy and community service initiatives the school has been involved in.

Lutheran Disability Services (LDS) has announced that their new CEO will be Michael Kromwyk. Michael will take over from John van Ruth, who will retire at the end of June.

The SA-NT District’s new bishop team has been elected by delegates at the recent Convention of Synod, held in May at Victor Harbor. Pastor Andrew Brook was elected unopposed as the next bishop, succeeding Bishop David Altus who did not seek re-election after 13 years in the role.
