Our Mission

The Lutheran Church of Australia, South Australia - Northern Territory District, exists to resource, encourage and focus its communities to grow in Christ and make him known to all people. Called together as one church, we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to be people of God, participating in diverse ways in God’s mission plan to gather all creation in Christ.

We believe that God is calling our District to:

• live under the leadership of Jesus Christ as one body of people in congregations, schools and caring communities
• be a growing, inclusive Christian community, expecting and experiencing God’s miraculous and transforming power
• be a worshipping community, nourished and sustained by God’s grace received through his word and sacraments
• be a community, gifted in special ways by the Holy Spirit, accepting the call of Christ to discipleship, growing in spiritual maturity and personal witness
• be a servant community in the world.
