COVID-19 update for places of worship in SA as announced on Friday, 20 November 2020.

We have learnt to value the ‘presence’ of other people in an unexpected way this year. We have learnt to value each other’s presence by not being able to be present with each other for a time in many workplaces, at significant family gatherings and in our church buildings.

Over the next few months, LCC will be transitioning its name and brand identity from Lutheran Community Care to Lutheran Care. It expects a full transition to the new brand to be complete by March 2021.

A bright, refreshed space has given youth and families a new lease on life at Langmeil Lutheran Church.

Golden Grove Lutheran Church had 1700 people visit its grounds (COVID-safe) for its Community Fete on Sunday, October 18.

About 120 people gathered for the annual Top of The Valley event at Birdwood Lutheran Church in October. The theme was ‘Looking Forward Looking Back’ and the event was open to everyone in the local community, which continues to rebuild after the 2019 drought, the Cudlee Creek fire and COVID-19.

Last month, the District’s admin team held a craft day, where they made a card with a message for the wife of every pastor in SA and NT. It’s been a challenging year for many in the Church and we wanted these women to know that they are appreciated and cared about.

An upcoming online conversation, focusing on Advent/Christmas, will give participants the opportunity to share what churches are doing with children’s ministry this year.
