Concordia Lutheran Church in Loxton recently celebrated their 26th anniversary with the launch of a history book, ‘Concord in Concordia’. Complied by historians Carla and Peter Margarey, the book was launched by Pastor Neville Kriewaldt.

Congregation members from St Andrews Lutheran Church in Glynde performed in a Passion Play just before Easter to an appreciative audience at Glynde Lutheran Homes. The play was also relayed digitally into the residential care home on site.

From door-to-door there are just 50 steps separating Langmeil Thanksgiving Church and Faith Lutheran College Junior Campus in Tanunda. So when contemplating a name for the church’s outreach initiative to reconnect with the school community, 50 Steps seemed the perfect choice.

Waikerie Lutheran Parish has not let their current pastoral vacancy deter them from ministering to young people, with a team of four leaders working with 14 young adults over the past year to prepare them for confirmation.

We understand from congregations that many find it hard to recruit volunteers for various roles within our congregations. Sometimes this may be because people don’t really understand the role they could volunteer for, or may not know what opportunities exist within our congregations.

Immanuel Lutheran Church in Light Pass had a lot to celebrate in September, with the month marking the 175th anniversary of the congregation, the 135th anniversary of the church building and the 50th anniversary of the Sunday school building.

Onkaparinga Lutheran Parish is continuing with monthly meal deliveries for those in the community affected by the Cuddlee Creek bushfires and are seeking more cooks to help prepare meals, and drivers to deliver them.

Waikerie Lutheran Parish is planning a 40-hour non-stop praise and worship event and they’re looking for people who feel led to be a part of it by sharing their musical gifts or a testimony.

The rain paused as ladies from the South East gathered at Naracoorte recently for the annual SE Rally Day, with the theme ‘Loving our Neighbour’.
