From door-to-door there are just 50 steps separating Langmeil Thanksgiving Church and Faith Lutheran College Junior Campus in Tanunda. So when contemplating a name for the church’s outreach initiative to reconnect with the school community, 50 Steps seemed the perfect choice.

A trio of robots is saving staff at Tanunda Lutheran Home (TLH) from walking thousands of kilometres, and giving them back important face-to-face time with residents.

Pastor Mark Kleemann didn’t expect God to call him into a military role at the age of fifty, but saying ‘yes’ led him to experience the adventures of a lifetime and the grace of God in a whole new way.

Bug hunting, wood cutting, mud play and den building may not sound like typical school activities, but for the lucky students at Lobethal Lutheran Primary School it’s all in a day’s work.

This Christmas we may be back in our churches, but it is not quite the same as it was. I pray that at Christmas, Christ will come to his church and his whole world, weary and dislocated and threatened and unsure of the pathway forward, and his presence will comfort and strengthen us.

Waikerie Lutheran Parish has not let their current pastoral vacancy deter them from ministering to young people, with a team of four leaders working with 14 young adults over the past year to prepare them for confirmation.
