Wonderful to worship together in our different languages
Hundreds of people from across the world gathered to celebrate Pentecost at Glynde Lutheran Church. There were Bible readings, prayers, creed, and songs with lyrics in the main languages of Chinese, Nuer (South Sudanese), Korean, and English, along with encouragement for other languages to be spoken and sung. The beautiful sound of people sharing ‘Peace be with you’ in the many different languages was inspiring. A combined band from across the churches who worship onsite along with different worship leaders leading different parts of the liturgy allowed everyone present to engage in worship together. A Korean liturgical dance was a highlight. The celebration continued with a multicultural lunch, which was a feast not just for our stomachs but also our ears and hearts.

As people from many countries, cultures and backgrounds come to our communities across Australia, what a wonderful opportunity to share the good news of Jesus Christ with them and their family and friends back home. Please pray for the Cross-Cultural Ministry Centre at Glynde Lutheran Church and how this may inspire you in your community.
