WHS calendar: June tip
Welcome to June’s Work Health and Safety matters.
This month we recommend congregations start thinking about any property maintenance that needs to be done in the coming months.
Do your gutters need cleaning? Do you have trees that need trimming or clearing? What about garden beds – are they in need of weeding? Do you have watering systems that should be checked?
Perhaps your church or manse could use a paint touch up. Don’t forget to check all church properties for any maintenance or repairs that may be needed. Now is the time to think about these things and add them to your church council meeting agenda so that you can budget for these expenses and organise tradespeople to complete the work when weather permits.
Are there any taps which are leaking? Do all the lights work? Take a walk around the property and check each light switch. Does the oven work properly?
