Outreach ministry needs your help
The Adelaide Show Outreach Ministry is asking congregations if they will consider a retiring offering, so the ministry can maintain its witness to those who attend the popular event in September.
The ministry has been running for over 40 years and is coordinated by people from a range of denominations across Adelaide, with Con Schlenk and Jeff Roberts representing the Lutheran Church this year.
Selected tracts and Gospel materials are handed out to people attending the Adelaide Show at the ministry’s Christian Outreach Stand every year. It’s a unique and wonderful opportunity for passing on our faith in our saving Lord, especially to non-Christians.
However, the ministry relies entirely on support from congregations and individuals to finance its work. Sadly, funds have hit a desperate low and further support is needed. Current funds will barely cover its costs.
If you feel you or your congregation would like to help the Adelaide Show Outreach Ministry, you can make a donation or volunteer. With your support, you are helping to pass on your faith and reaching out to non-Christians – a task the Lord has given each of us.
Donations can be posted to 1 Hollywood Way, Glenalta SA, 5052, or transferred to LLL account 100 516 513, BSB 704 942.
If you feel you are able to volunteer and help hand out materials at the show, please contact Jeff Roberts (0478 293 650 or jmroberts@internode.on.net).
If you have any further questions, please contact either Jeff (details above) or Con Schlenk (0408 811 370 or conschlenk@adam.com.au).
Please keep this important outreach ministry in your prayers.
