Endeavour’s bold vision takes shape
Endeavour College’s bold vision is coming to life, with strong progress made on the transformative Junior School project that is set to elevate learning in Mawson Lakes, SA, for years to come.
Endeavour has been a beacon of educational excellence in Adelaide’s north since it was established as a Secondary School in 1998 and will become a full Reception-to-Year 12 College with the opening of the Junior School in 2027.
LLL Chief Relationship Officer Scott Ross was delighted to take up Principal Richard Baird’s offer of a tour of the construction site that will become a state of the art, three-storey building, designed to maximise its proximity to picturesque Mawson Lake.
Learning by the lake
‘It was the ideal spot, it’s one of the most scenic locations, overlooking multiple lakes with three stories of beautiful glass facade … it will be a really bright place for learning,’ Principal Richard said.
‘There’s so many opportunities to utilise the surroundings as well, having the lake and so many other natural areas around us, it’s a beautiful place to learn and grow.
‘It’s an honour and a privilege to be called to be part of a project like this, the interest from the community and families has been really strong, and the board’s vision and support has been amazing.’
Positive impact
The Junior School will have capacity for 378 students and feature 14 General Learning Areas (GLAs), STEM spaces, a dynamic resource hub, thoughtfully designed multi-purpose spaces for both school and community use, and a vibrant library/resource hub.
Students and staff will be able to seamlessly and safely transition between the new Junior School and the secondary campus via a pedestrian footbridge over Mawson Lakes Boulevard.
LLL is proud to partner with Endeavour in support of the groundbreaking project that will have a deeply positive impact on the local community.
‘LLL has been phenomenal,’ Richard said.
‘We couldn’t do the project without them, it feels like a joint relationship, it’s really like we’re building it together.
‘It’s a dream that we all get to take part in, share, and hopefully reflect on in years to come and think how blessed we were to be part of transforming education in Mawson Lakes.’
