A French-inspired afternoon at Pasadena Trinity
On Saturday 19 September Pasadena Trinity held a French High Tea for 130 people. Tables were organised with candles, flowers, some French themed food think macarons, madeleines, mini fruit tarts, éclairs, mini quiches and more! And of course, the obligatory scones, jam and cream – what would a high tea be without them? A liquor license was sought so we could serve Lake Breeze Blanc de Blancs and of course a non-alcoholic version. Patio Coffee Roasters were on hand to make sure we were caffeinated for the afternoon.
Jen De Ness provided the entertainment, singing some French inspired tunes and playing her keyboard.
Attendees were encouraged to wear frocks or finery; they did not disappoint! High Tea enthusiasts were asked to bring non-perishable food items to be donated to help replenish Lutheran Care’s emergency food relief pantry. The amount of donations we received was outstanding! All in all a wonderful afternoon was had, certainly no one went home hungry.
