Easter Celebrations at Murray Valley Lutheran Community
The Murray Valley Lutheran Community (MVLC) continues to focus on young families and all ages ministry with their interactive ‘Family Service’ on the fourth Sunday of every month and ‘Church 118’ all ages worship every first Sunday of the month. This year as part of the Church 118 Easter Day Service the MVLC hosted a Big Easter Hunt and The Easter Quest For The King including six stations of the cross for the children to follow;
1. The Last Supper
2. Prayer Garden
3. The Cross
4. Preparing for burial
5. Stone rolled away
6. Empty Tomb – He is Risen!
Children read bible verses, collected items and shared in a joyous experience with each other. Church 118 is a special collaboration with the Concordia Kindergarten where worship takes place in the Holy Cross church building followed directly by playtime and morning tea in the Kindy grounds next door. Why Church 118? Psalm 118: Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.
