WH&S: Your December tip
Welcome to December’s Work Health and Safety matters.
Even though Work Health and Safety is an important issue in our churches and should always be in our thoughts, this month we would like to ask you to put this aside and focus on the gift that we celebrate at Christmas – the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Take this opportunity to immerse yourself in Church life – attend mid-week services, get your children involved in Christmas activities, perhaps you could even do baking with the youth or Sunday school children in your congregation and distribute these during your services. Don’t forget to attend your congregation or parish’s carols night or maybe attend a local Christmas carol event with your family.
Open your church to visitors. Welcome them and provide them with directions to the toilets, creche etc. Have someone sit with them at the service so they understand what is happening. Invite them to stay for coffee. Pray for them.
Let’s be thankful for the gifts we have been given during the year and the gift we continue to receive as Christians.
