Blueprint visits Bethlehem Guild

8 February 2021

by Jeanette Mann & Jo Chamberlain

Blueprint Ministries staff had the privilege of speaking at the Bethlehem Guild’s February meeting, to answer the question ‘What is Blueprint?’

We were able to share that Blueprint is the Child, Family, Youth & Young Adult Ministry arm of the LCA SA-NT District, with the aim of supporting, encouraging, resourcing and equipping people throughout the District in these ministry areas.  Key to this is the building of relationships and listening to what people (both young and old) have to say.

Research shows parents and grandparents are the key influencers in their children’s lives – both in what they do and what they don’t do.  The church’s responsibility is to support & equip families in the nurture of their children.  Congregations can do this by building connections with each other (both young and old) – showing each other that each person is a valuable part of God’s kingdom.

Children and young people can learn much from the example, experiences and wisdom of older people and older people can be inspired by the enthusiasm and energy of the young.

Our visit was a delightful experience, through our sharing and engaging together.

If your congregation would like to find out more about Blueprint Ministries or discuss ways of connecting with children and young people, or alternatively about the camping ministry looked after by Ian Crambrook, please feel free to contact us on:
