Installation of Assistant Bishop-Mission Stephen Schultz

The installation service of SA-NT Assistant Bishop-Mission Stephen Schultz was held on Sunday, February 4.

About 150 people gathered for the installation, which took place at St Michael’s Lutheran Church, Hahndorf.

SA-NT Bishop David Altus delivered the message during the service, focusing on Paul and the gospel in 1 Corinthians 9.

“Stephen, I can assure you that you will experience the blessings of the gospel many times over and you will see God at work in and through his church in ways you never knew,” Bishop David said.

“You will grow in your appreciation of the power of the gospel in the life of God’s church and in your own. God bless you as you go and enjoy being an Assistant Bishop-Mission for the sake of the gospel.”

Pastor Stephen began working with the District at the beginning of January and is supporting congregations in SA and NT, as well as schools and other areas of the church in their ministry and mission.

He previously served as pastor at St Michael’s Hahndorf for 15 years and associate pastor at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Adelaide, for five years.
