Drought Relief Worship Resources
In 2025, the SA-NT District Office prepared prayer and worship resources to support and encourage communities who are coping with drought conditions in our District.
At the 2025 SA-NT District Convention, we heard from many delegates who were representing communities who have been struggling through drought conditions. In response, we prepared these worship resources as a way of standing alongside them in prayer and offering encouragement.
A service of praise and prayer in a time of drought
On Sunday 31 August 2025 we encouraged all congregations to save this date as a District-wide acknowledgment and prayer service for communities impacted by drought.
A fully pre-planned worship service, including readings, prayers, Powerpoint slides and a video sermon from Bishop Andrew Brook is available either below or on the LCA Worship Planning page for your congregation/parish to use.
You are also welcome to use these worship resources on a Sunday that best suits your community.
Online Prayer Service
On Tuesday 12 August at 7pm, we invited all congregations to join us for an Online Prayer Gathering. The evening was hosted by metro and rural pastors and lay people. Congregations were encouraged to gather with their local community for this event. We pray it was a time of encouragement and a blessing to worship together online.
For those who weren’t able to be there, you can view the recording of the Online Prayer Gathering below.
