The Lutheran Church of Australia and related entities, such as Lutheran schools, will have the opportunity to benefit from the LLL’s decision to transition to a Religious Charitable Development Fund (RCDF).

A fundraising porridge breakfast to support Somalian children through Australian Lutheran World Service (ALWS) was held at Calvary Lutheran Church in Morphett Vale recently. 

Breaking down barriers through breaking bread together was the goal for The Ark Lutheran Church in Salisbury, who recently partnered with Hope Arabic Church to reach the local Arabic-speaking community.

Congregations are invited to apply for a mission outreach grant, thanks to the generosity of the LLL. The District has $25,000 to distribute in 2023, which could be split between multiple ventures.

The combined Christian churches of Adelaide are seeking volunteers for outreach at this year’s Royal Adelaide Show.

Semaphore Ladies Fellowship Craft Group have been helping to keep people in need warm, lending their sewing skills to the Wrap with Love project that distributes knitted blankets to communities and individuals who need relief from cold weather conditions.

The world seems to be full of forces which are both bringing people together and driving people apart. We are conscious of being ‘one global village’ like never before, but then our politics and need to assert our own opinion fractures communities and often ends in violence.
