Adelaide Show Outreach – Volunteers needed
For many years the Christian churches have had a stall at the Adelaide Show. The stall is operated by volunteers in shifts of 2-3 volunteers at a time. These volunteers offer a brochure to passersby that offer a Christian message of hope. There are also opportunities to engage people in faith conversations.
A new brochure is prepared each year and this year’s is entitled ‘Reconnecting’. In the midst of the Pandemic, social-distancing and high levels of anxiety and disconnection, the brochure speaks of our God who comes up close and personal in his Son Jesus to re-connect with us.
Owing to the disruptions of Covid, we have a shortage of volunteers for the stall. If you would like to be involved in a very simple way of being a Christian presence in our community then please contact me (Pastor Stephen Schultz stephen.schultz@lca.org.au or 08 8267 5211) or Jeff Roberts (jmroberts@internode.on.net or 0478 293 650).
Volunteers receive free tickets to the show for whatever days they volunteer and there is training provided. Please prayerfully consider this opportunity (all ages welcome because all ages attend the Adelaide Show).
Blessings to you as you engage your community with the love of Jesus.
