Here to help you: Employee assistance
The District is aware that many of our people have struggled through COVID and beyond. Did you know that the LCA has an Employee Assistance Program that can provide confidential support?
Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) provide short-term, solutions-oriented counselling and coaching which may support you in meeting the challenges and demands of your work and personal life. Of course, you may have access to other supports (including pastoral care and support) and the EAP is not intended to replace those but it may be a useful addition.
This confidential and independent assistance may enable the early resolution of factors that may be impacting on your wellbeing, so through our partnership you have access to support services that are delivered by highly skilled Consultants and a network of Associates throughout Australia. This program is funded by LCA Churchwide Office and is a limited free service to eligible participants.
Pastors, Lay Workers, employees paid through the LCA HRS and their direct family members may access up to three sessions per year. The LCA EAP is offered through Converge International.
Confidentiality and privacy is important so when you speak with or see a Converge International EAP Counsellor, no details of your issues will be discussed with anyone without your permission. No identifying information is reported to the LCA Church Worker Support Department or any other LCA entity. Converge International is provided with a regularly updated list of names of people covered by this program.
