Energy efficiency in churches
Is your church as energy efficient as it could be? The SA Government has a Retailer Energy Productivity Scheme (REPS) whereby energy providers must assist consumers in achieving maximum energy efficiency in their properties.
South Australian households and businesses may be able to access discounted or free energy efficiency activities from energy retailers participating in the REPS. These providers are able to assist with the design and replacement of lights and globes in non-residential premises, including churches. In residential properties this scheme is available for lights, showerheads and other energy services.
While there are a number of providers of these services, Trade Services SA are based in South Australia and have confirmed that they are able to assist churches through this program.

The 2015 LCA General Convention of Synod resolved to ‘… encourage, implement and model ways of living and working that minimize the production of greenhouse gas emissions…’ https://www.lca.org.au/departments/commissions/social-bioethical-questions/environment/
We are attempting to assist congregations to be as energy efficient as possible and in turn save some money in utility expenses. This is one way that we can assist in the implementation of that resolution.
