Pastor Peter Pfitzner retires
A farewell service was held for Eudunda–Robertstown Parish Pastor Peter Pfitzner in July, with many gathering to honour his time with the Lutheran Church.
The church at Robertstown was full for this service, which was led by Pastor Joshua Muller, who also services the parish.
Pastor Peter is gifted with delivering inspirational sermons, and together with his supportive wife Deborah, the pair were a faith-giving ministry team to the parish and wider community of Robertstown and Eudunda.
During the service, Chairperson Anthony Pfitzner presented a farewell gift to Peter and Deborah on behalf of the parish and wished them well in retirement with God’s blessing. A sumptuous lunch followed in the Robertstown Hall.
Pastor Peter was installed into the Eudunda–Robertstown Parish on 30 October 2011, and the farewell service concluded over 41 years of service to the Lutheran Church of Australia (LCA).
Pastor Peter’s service to the LCA includes Moree Parish NSW–Qld, St Peter’s Lutheran College Qld, LCA Victoria–Tasmania Tertiary Chaplain, Aboriginal Ministry committee at Ceduna SA, Ceduna Lutheran Parish, Finke River Mission Pastoral Support Worker at Hermannsburg NT and Kangaroo Island Lutheran Church visiting pastor, just to name a few.
Pastor Peter will continue to serve as a relieving pastor and he and Deborah will remain at Robertstown to build their retirement home where Peter began life on the family farm.
